       Ganzhou, China - Due to currently spread rumors regarding Farasis’ battery cell quality as well as meeting technical requirements together with potential supply gaps, Farasis Energy is releasing an official statement regarding the published claims.

       Farasis Energy is a globally active Battery cell and system manufacturer which is one of the leaders in the area of high energy Li- Ion battery technology and production for electric vehicle applications. Thanks to its technology and engineering competencies, Farasis has secured many key customers in the past years. With regard to Farasis‘ global production network, an installed battery cell capacity of 21 GWh/a was reached in early 2020. The global production footprint is currently being further expanded with locations around the globe.

       One of the key customers in Europe is Mercedes-Benz. Throughout the past year, Farasis has established a close and collaborative partnership with Mercedes-Benz. Due to the positive performance of the products and the successful collaboration, Daimler decided to take a 3% stake in Farasis during the Farasis IPO in July 2020 in addition to creating an official strategic partnership agreement.

       The technical performance and specifications of the delivered battery cells and systems have been confirmed through extensive validation testing and Farasis does not have any negative indications about the quality of the products delivered to date. In addition, the supply of European customer demands by Farasis is secured through a jointly developed and confirmed delivery plan.
